MAGA Comedian Stirs Controversy With Offensive Jokes During Trump MSG Rally

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe sparked controversy with offensive jokes targeting Latinos during former President Donald Trump‘s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday (October 27).

Hinchcliffe, 40, the host of the podcast Kill Tony, drew a mixed reaction during a series of jokes targeting Latinos and the migrant crisis.

“It’s wild and these Latinos love making babies too, just know that — they don’t do that. They come inside, just like they did to our country. Republicans are the party with a good sense of humor,” Hinchcliffe said.

The comedian then made several jokes about Puerto Rico, which he referred to as “literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now.”

The comment drew criticism Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is of Puerto Rican descent, and Democratic vice presidential nominee, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who responded to the clip during a Twitch livestream.

“When you have some a-hole calling Puerto Rico ‘floating garbage,’ know that that’s what they think about you. It’s what they think about anyone who makes less money than them,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“I want every Puerto Rican in Philadelphia and Reading and across the country to see this clip,” she added, referencing the battleground state of Philadelphia.

Hinchcliffe shared a post on his X account in response to the clip of Walz and Ocasio-Cortez on Sunday.

“These people have no sense of humor. Wild that a vice presidential candidate would take time out of his ‘busy schedule’ to analyze a joke taken out of context to make it seem racist. I love Puerto Rico and vacation there. I made fun of everyone…watch the whole set. I’m a comedian Tim…might be time to change your tampon,” Hinchcliffe said, referencing Walz’s shared sentiments with Ocasio-Cortez.

Ocasio-Cortez provided her own response on X to Hinchcliffe’s retort.

“Can’t get over this dude telling someone else to change tampons when he’s the one shitting bricks in his Depends after realizing opening for a Trump rally and feeding red-meat racism alongside a throng of other bigots to a frothing crowd does, unironically, make you one of them,” she wrote.

“You don’t ‘love Puerto Rico.’ You like drinking piña coladas. There’s a difference,” she added.

Ángel Cintrón, the chairman of the Republican Party of Puerto, also denounced Hinchcliffe’s comments as “unfortunate, ignorant and entirely reprehensible” via the New York Post.

Hinchliffe’s speech also included several jokes comparing Democrat celebrities to disgraced rapper SeanDiddyCombs‘ now infamous “Freak Off” parties which were allegedly rife with sexual abuse and said he though Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, the boyfriend of pop superstar and outspoken Kamala Harris supporter Taylor Swift, “might be the next O.J. Simpson,” referring to the late Pro Football Hall of Famer’s infamous trial centered around the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

“Every day, the Democrat Party looks more like a Diddy party!” he said, which drew sheepish laughs from the crowd. “Oh, okay, I see what you guys want.”

Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden reportedly attracted more than 20,000 attendees, a surprise in the historically Democratic city, nine days before the 2024 presidential election.
