LA Filmmaker To Kick Off Anti-Gun Violence Documentary College Tour

The critically acclaimed documentary Put the Guns Down: A World Epidemic is set to launch a nationwide college tour, bringing discussions on gun violence, mental health, and community impact to campuses across the country. The tour will feature screenings of the award-winning film, followed by panel discussions with filmmakers, community leaders, and individuals directly affected by gun violence.

The documentary, directed by Terry C. Carney Sr. and produced by rapper Ice-T, has earned over 46 awards for its storytelling. Through firsthand accounts from survivors, families, and advocates, Put the Guns Down: A World Epidemic highlights the devastating consequences of gun violence and the need for change.

Carney recently spoke in-depth about the film and what it took to make it ahead of its college debut at Victor Valley College in southern California.
