21-Year-Old Accused Of Planning ‘Mass Casualty Attack’ On Texas Police

Authorities in Texas arrested 21-year-old Seth “Andrea” Gregori on Monday (February 24) for allegedly planning a “mass casualty attack” on police officers. According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, Gregori was apprehended shortly after 9 a.m. following an investigation by the FBI’s Houston field office.

The FBI stated that Gregori’s plan was reminiscent of the 2016 Dallas ambush, where a sniper killed five police officers and injured several others during a protest for Black Lives.

The arrest was made possible through cooperation between local, state, and federal agencies. The Corpus Christi Police Department expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing its importance in maintaining community safety. Gregori faces a third-degree felony charge of making a terroristic threat against a public servant, as filed by the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office.

The FBI’s Houston office confirmed the prevention of a potential attack, underscoring the seriousness of the threat. Gregori remains in custody, and it is unclear whether he has legal representation at this time. As the investigation continues, authorities have not released further details about the alleged plot.
