Billionaire Elon Musk has publicly pledged to give away $1 million to supporters of former President Donald Trump who sign his online petition for registered voters every day until the 2024 presidential election, the New York Post reports.
Musk, the second-richest person in the world with an estimated net worth of $195 billion, gave an over-sized $1 million check to a Pennsylvania voter at Trump’s rally in Harrisburg on Saturday (October 19) and promised to do the same on the 16 remaining days until the election. The rally attendees had to sign a mandatory “America PAC” petition, which Musk founded to support Trump during the 2024 election cycle, pledging to uphold the right to free speech and the right to bear arms in order to attend the event.
John Dreher was identified as the random winner on Saturday and has since agreed to become a spokesman for the America PAC. The multimillion-dollar giveaway is only available to voters registered in one of swing states — Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina.
The petition, which can be found on the America PAC’s website, is presumed to have a deadline no later than Monday (October 21) and signees must include their full name, email address, cellphone number and mailing address during registration.
The America PAC petition states “The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments,” according to its website.
