Recent military-style training exercises in Southern California cities have startled residents with unexpected low-flying helicopters and simulated explosions.
These activities are part of preparations for upcoming international events, including the FIFA World Cup, set to begin in Los Angeles on Thursday and run through July 19.
According to FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller, the exercises are a collaborative effort involving federal, state, and local agencies.
