The 15th Annual KFI PastaThon to benefit Caterina’s Club is in the books.
As of 8pm on our ‘Giving Tuesday’ broadcast, we have raised $955,480 and 92,406 pounds of pasta & sauce for Chef Bruno’s charity, Caterina’s Club..**Final Totals coming soon!**
Chef Bruno Serato started Caterina’s Club, a charity named after his beloved mother in 2005, to provide meals to children living with their families in local low-income motels. Back then, he was feeding 300 children per week. Over the last 20 years, the need has grown so much and Chef Bruno has expanded his effort to now provide more than 25,000 meals per week to children in 100 locations in 30 cities across Southern California.
KFI proudly joined Chef Bruno in 2010 to help his effort to not only feed these kids, but to help break the cycle of poverty. Caterina’s Club not only feeds children in need now, but they also help their families get back into stable home environments, and they provide job training for youths so they have the skills they need to work in the hospitality industry.
Since 2010, the KFI family of listeners and customers of our amazing partners, Smart & Final, and Wendy’s restaurants in Southern California, have raised more than $8.2 million and 900,000 pounds of pasta & sauce for this local charity.
