Burglary Crew Arrested for Nearly 100 L.A. Break-ins

Authorities in Los Angeles announced on Monday the arrest of a burglary crew believed to be responsible for nearly 100 break-ins across the city. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) stated that a collaborative effort between regional law enforcement agencies, including the Los Angeles Police and Sheriff’s departments, led to these arrests. The crew is linked to 92 residential burglaries, with most occurring in 2024 and 2025, according to LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell during a morning news conference.

The arrests follow a high-speed chase that ended in Woodland Hills, where the suspected burglars crashed a black Tesla and attempted to flee on foot. As reported by NBC Los Angeles, the suspects were under surveillance by the LA Impact task force, which includes officers from various LA County, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. The task force had been monitoring the group, suspected of carrying out burglaries in the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys.

The crew is also believed to be involved in high-profile burglaries, including a break-in at actor Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz home in June. According to ABC News, the suspects targeted wealthy neighborhoods but did not specifically aim for Pitt. The case will be presented to the district attorney for potential charges.

The arrests come amid a slight decline in citywide burglary rates, with a 3% decrease this year. However, the frequency of break-ins had alarmed residents, particularly in the West Valley area. The LAPD and other law enforcement agencies continue to investigate and address these crimes.
