PASADENA(CNS) – Three men and two boys were arrested early Thursday in a series of coordinated raids in the San Gabriel Valley targeting a Pasadena street gang.
The suspects, whose names were not released, were booked at the Pasadena Police Department jail on suspicion of various crimes, including armed robbery, vandalism and weapons offenses, police said.
According to the Pasadena Police Departments, warrants were served around 4 a.m. Thursday in multiple locations. During the searches, authorities seized a short-barreled semiautomatic rifle with a high-capacity drum magazine, a revolver and three semiautomatic handguns with high-capacity magazines.
The searches were carried out with the assistance of the Glendale, Burbank, Covina and West Covina police departments, along with the U.S. Marshal’s Service and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, police said.
According to Pasadena police, the operation “was the result of a comprehensive criminal investigation involving a Pasadena criminal street gang whose illicit activity had been increasing over the past several months.”
No other details were immediately released.
