Authorities in Louisana are searching for two young girls who were reported missing after their mother was found brutally murdered in her mobile home.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards said 35-year-old Callie Brunett was found dead by her father inside her mobile home on Thursday (June 13) morning. She was reported missing the day before by her parents.
Brunett’s two young daughters, six-year-old Jalie and four-year-old Erin, were not there when her body was found. Police said that her car was also missing.
Police have been in contact with the girls’ father and said he is not a suspect.
Authorities said that they are looking for an unidentified white male in connection with her death, who is believed to be driving her car, a black 2012 Chrysler 200 with Louisiana plate 859GML. The car is missing a hubcap on the back right tire.
The man is believed to be armed and dangerous.
“This time period is very crucial. We need to find these children,” Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards said.
