Three Killed in Fiery Crash in Castaic; Suspect Arrested

CASTAIC (CNS) – A fiery crash left three people dead and one injured in Castaic Wednesday and the driver was later arrested for driving under the influence.

California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched to The Old Road, south of Parker Road and west of the Golden State (5) Freeway at 12:30 a.m. when they found the victims and the vehicle wreckage, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.

The vehicle was completely engulfed in flames, according to reports from the scene.

The victims, whose names, ages and genders were not immediately known, were pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.

A victim who was injured in the crash was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.

The driver, a woman, has been arrested by the CHP for driving under the influence, Fox 11 reported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
