COMPTON (CNS) – Police Tuesday are continuing their search for members of a burglary crew after officers tracked them to Compton following an armed robbery in Sherman Oaks.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at around 9 p.m. Monday to the 15000 block of Greenleaf Street where a nanny at the residence was accosted and ordered into a bedroom, KABC 7 reported.
Police tracked the suspects, who drove away on the San Diego (405) Freeway to Compton, where undercover LAPD officers, with assistance from an LAPD helicopter, followed them to a home in the area of 152nd Street and Maie Avenue.
Officers arrested at least three of the burglars, while others were able to escape into the neighborhood, Fox 11 reported.
According to Fox 11, the burglars stole approximately $200,000 worth of property from the Sherman Oaks residence.
