The body of a 33-year-old Brooklyn woman, Sabina Rosas, was discovered in a guest room at the Shou Sugi Ban House, a luxury resort and spa in the Hamptons, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. The gruesome discovery was made by a resort employee on Monday (October 28) around 12:30 p.m. at the resort located in Water Mill, about 90 miles east of Midtown Manhattan.

The Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad is investigating the case, and it has been determined that Rosas was a victim of violence. However, investigators believe this to be an isolated incident and have assured that there is no immediate danger to the public at this time.

The resort, which has thirteen guest studios, each with its own private entrance and garden patio, offers a range of holistic health experiences, including spa services, wellness workshops, and personalized retreats.

The Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death following an autopsy. Detectives are urging anyone with information about this incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
