Little Change To Average L.A., Orange County Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent Thursday to $6.228 after being unchanged each of the previous two days.

The average price is 1.6 cents less than one week ago but 24.3 cents more than one month ago and $1.403 higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has risen $1.534 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, moving within 26.6 cents of the record $6.494 set Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $6.191, one day after being unchanged. It is 2.3 cents less than one week ago but 28.8 cents more than one month ago and $1.429 higher than one year ago

The Orange County average price has risen $1.555 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, moving within 26.8 cents of the record $6.459 set Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the second consecutive day following a five-day streak of decreases totaling 5.4 cents, increasing 2.3 cents to $4.534. It is 2.4 cents less than one week ago but 41.6 cents more than one month ago and $1.354 higher than one year ago.

The national average price has risen $1.552 since the attack on Iran, including seven-tenths of a cent Wednesday, moving within 48.2 cents of the record $5.016 set June 14, 2022.
