Burro Fire in Angeles National Forest 65% Contained

AZUSA (CNS) – A brush that burned about 30 acres near Azusa was 65% contained Tuesday, authorities said.

The Burro Fire was reported about 1:25 p.m. Monday near the Burro Canyon Shooting Park north of the San Gabriel Reservoir, according to Cal Fire.

Angeles National Forest officials said Tuesday afternoon that containment of the blaze had increased from 20% earlier in the day to 65%.

The shooting park was temporarily closed because of the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
