SANTA ANA (CNS) – Santa Ana police Tuesday continued investigating the fatal shooting of a teenage suspect involved in a domestic dispute.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a home in the 3400 block of South Main Street, near MacArthur Boulevard, just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.
A man told responding officers that his girlfriend’s teenage son had stabbed him, police said. The man said he suspected the teen was under the influence and vandalizing property in the home, police said.
Officers made their way into the apartment when they heard the teen arguing with his mother, police said. The teen was still holding a knife when officers confronted him and the shooting occurred, police said.
The man and his girlfriend sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
