Kyle Busch, Two Time NASCAR Cup Champion, Dies At Age 41

Kyle Busch, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, has passed away at the age of 41. NASCAR announced his death on Thursday (May 21), expressing their deep sorrow and describing Busch as one of the sport’s greatest and fiercest drivers. The Las Vegas native was hospitalized with a severe illness and was not expected to compete at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend, as reported by his family earlier in the day.

Busch’s family shared the news of his passing on social media, requesting privacy as they navigate this difficult time. NASCAR extended their condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing, and the entire motorsports community. Busch was ranked 24th in the Cup.

A prominent figure in the racing world, Busch won his championships in 2015 and 2019, initially with Joe Gibbs Racing before moving to Richard Childress Racing four years ago. His last victory came in 2023, marking his first win with RCR.

Busch’s legacy includes 234 national series race wins, cementing his status as a NASCAR icon. His passing leaves a significant void in the racing community.
