BEVERLY HILLS (CNS) – A monthslong investigation has led to the arrest of two youths seen recklessly riding electric motorcycles in Beverly Hills, police announced Friday.
The two juveniles were seen doing dangerous stunts throughout the city on Dec. 10, 2025, and when officers tried to stop them, they fled “in a reckless manner,” according to a Beverly Hills Police Department news release.
“Through follow-up investigation, both individuals were identified,” police said. “With the assistance of the Culver City Police Department, BHPD officers arrested both suspects at Culver City High School on April 16th, 2026.”
Electric motorcycles and e-bikes have grown in popularity, but “can pose significant safety risks when operated irresponsibly,” police said.
“Reckless driving behaviors, including exhibition stunts, endanger not only the riders but also pedestrians and other motorists. Riders are urged to operate these vehicles with caution, wear appropriate safety gear and strictly obey all traffic regulations,” according to the BHPD, which said its officers “will not tolerate reckless or unlawful operation of any vehicle.”
“Enforcement efforts will continue to ensure the safety of our community, and individuals who engage in dangerous behavior will be held accountable,” the department stated.
