BURBANK (CNS) – Traffic delays are expected Monday at Hollywood Burbank Airport as construction begins on a lane closure, with travelers advised to arrive at least two hours before their scheduled flights.
The work will close one lane of southbound Hollywood Way near Thornton Avenue through June 6, affecting access to the airport, according to Hollywood Burbank Airport’s website.
Drivers were encouraged to use the Empire Avenue entrance as an alternate route or access the airport by traveling westbound on Thornton Avenue.
The construction is scheduled Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is expected to last about 60 days.
In addition to the lane closure, the sidewalk and bike lane on the west side of Hollywood Way between Winona Avenue and Thornton Avenue will also be closed during the project, officials said.
