Trump Issues Warning To Iran, Says US Armada Ready For ‘Violence’

President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, saying time is running out for the country to reach a nuclear agreement with the United States or face the threat of military action. On Wednesday (January 28), President Trump posted on Truth Social that a “massive armada” of U.S. ships is moving quickly toward Iran, ready to act “with speed and violence, if necessary” if Tehran does not agree to talks. He urged Iranian leaders to negotiate a “fair and equitable deal—NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS,” stressing that “time is running out.”

The warning comes after months of rising tensions over Iran’s nuclear program, which President Trump claims was “obliterated” by U.S. airstrikes on three major Iranian nuclear sites in June. However, experts have questioned the full impact of those bombings, noting that key underground facilities may have survived and that United Nations inspectors remain barred from the sites. The head of Iran’s atomic energy organization, Mohammad Eslami, stated the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has no grounds for further oversight, arguing that Iran has not breached its commitments and accusing the agency of politicized actions, as reported by Iran International.

Iranian officials have firmly rejected reopening negotiations under military threats. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told state media, “Our stance is clear: Negotiations don’t go along with threats, and talks can only take place when there are no longer menaces and excessive demands.” He further stated there had been no recent contact with U.S. envoys and no request from Iran for negotiations.
