A 13-year-old girl from Long Beach has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Pomona. The incident occurred on Sunday evening at an apartment complex on the 1300 block of East Pasadena Avenue. Officers from the Pomona Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and found the male teenager suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department declared the teen dead at the scene.
According to ABC7, the shooting is being investigated as a possible case of domestic violence. However, details about what led to the shooting are still unclear. The Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit identified the 13-year-old girl as a suspect during their investigation. She was subsequently taken into custody and transported to Juvenile Hall.
