A violent altercation erupted at SoFi Stadium during the fourth quarter of the Los Angeles Rams’ game against the Houston Texans on Sunday. The brawl, which was captured on video, left a female Texans fan bloodied and resulted in multiple fans being escorted out of the stadium. The incident began with a verbal exchange and shoving between the woman, wearing a No. 99 J.J. Watt Texans jersey, and a female Rams fan. The situation escalated when a male Texans fan poured beer on the Rams fan, leading to punches being thrown.
According to ABC7, security arrived after the fight had already caused significant disruption. The bloodied woman and her male companion, wearing a No. 7 C.J. Stroud Texans jersey, were among those removed from the stadium. In a video posted online, the woman expressed her intention to pursue legal action, stating she was left outside the stadium without her belongings.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the incident is part of a series of brawls that have occurred at SoFi Stadium since its opening in 2020. Despite the frequent fights, a 2022 poll by Sportsbook Review indicated that SoFi Stadium is not perceived as the most dangerous NFL venue. The Inglewood police were not called to the scene, and no police report has been filed so far.
