The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $750 million, making it the 10th largest in the game’s history. No one won the grand prize in Saturday’s drawing, where the numbers were 11, 14, 34, 47, 51, and Powerball 18. However, several players still walked away with significant prizes.
Two tickets sold in Maine and New York matched all five white balls, each winning $1 million. In South Dakota, a ticket with the Power Play option doubled its $1 million prize to $2 million. Additionally, 31 tickets won $50,000, and five others won $100,000 each.
The next drawing is scheduled for Monday night (August 25), offering players another chance to win the massive jackpot. The winner can choose between a lump sum payment of $338.6 million before taxes or an annuity of $750 million, paid out over 30 years with annual increases.
Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, but the excitement of playing for such a large prize continues to draw players nationwide.
According to News on 6, the Powerball jackpot has been rolling over since May 31, when a single ticket in California won $204.5 million. The last time a jackpot of this size was won was in 2022, when a ticket in Altadena claimed a record-breaking $2.04 billion prize.
