Man Found Fatally Shot in Apartment; Person of Interest Detained

MISSION VIEJO (CNS) – Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies Saturday are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in Mission Viejo.

Deputies from the department’s Mission Viejo Station responded to a report of a shooting in an apartment on La Glorietta at 7:30 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, deputies found a man inside the apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s department reported.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies detained a person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting at the scene, according to the sheriff’s department
