LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Authorities are seeking additional potential victims of a group responsible for a one-day spree of armed robberies at 7- Eleven stores in Los Angeles County.
Between 1 a.m. and 11 p.m. last Friday, the group robbed five 7- Elevens in Los Angeles, Baldwin Park and Pasadena, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“In each incident, the group would arrive in a stolen blue Hyundai Sonata where one individual would remain on the lookout and the others would enter the store to commit the armed robbery,” police said. “They utilized a blue steel handgun with an extended magazine.”
At about 9:50 p.m. Friday, the Alhambra Police Department initiated a pursuit of the group after they attempted to commit another robbery, which led through downtown Los Angeles, where the LAPD took over, authorities said.
The driver and two others were taken into custody following the pursuit but one suspect fled on foot and remains outstanding, the department added.
Of the three arrested, one suspect was identified as 21-year-old Jacuri Tobias and two others were juveniles aged 15 and 17.
The armed robberies took place at the following locations:
— 1200 block of West Washington Boulevard at 2:45 a.m.;
— 1500 block of Glendale Boulevard at 3:05 a.m.;
— 200 block of Rosemead Avenue in Pasadena at 4:43 a.m.;
— 12900 block of Bess Avenue in Baldwin Park at 5:09 a.m.; and
— 3500 block of West Temple Street at 8:46 p.m.
