Disneyland Ride Gets Mandalorian-Themed Update

Disneyland Resort’s Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride will receive a thrilling update featuring “The Mandalorian” theme starting May 22, 2026. This announcement was made during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The ride, located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, will allow riders to embark on missions alongside popular characters Mando and Grogu, also known as “Baby Yoda.”

Riders will have the opportunity to choose their destinations, including iconic locations like Bespin, Endor, and Coruscant. The ride offers three roles: pilot, gunner, and engineer. The engineer will have a new task of caring for Grogu, who will communicate with them in a mysterious way. The storyline of the ride will be separate from the upcoming feature film “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” which releases on the same day.

Star Wars creative executive Dave Filoni expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the blend of storytelling and innovation. He said, “Just imagine it: you’ll be able to fly alongside Mando and Grogu on thrilling, and dangerous, missions.” This update promises to enhance the immersive experience for fans and visitors alike.
