Woman Sues Luxury Hotel After Worker Went Into Her Room, Watched Her Shower

A female guest is suing the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami for $7 million, alleging that a hotel employee broke into her room and watched her shower. The incident reportedly occurred on December 11, 2023, when the guest, identified as C.N., was staying at the luxury hotel with her boyfriend.

According to the lawsuit filed in Miami-Dade County, the employee entered C.N.’s locked room, opened the shower door, and stared at her naked. The employee allegedly ignored her demands to leave and brushed against her as he exited the room. C.N. claims she was told by hotel supervisors not to call the police, as they would handle the situation due to their “great relationship” with local law enforcement.

The lawsuit also accuses the hotel of delaying the police investigation and allowing the destruction of critical forensic evidence. C.N. says she suffered severe psychological trauma and is represented by attorney Justin Shapiro of Leesfield & Partners. Shapiro stated, “This case represents a gross violation of personal privacy and basic safety standards.”

The hotel, operated by Marriott International, and its staffing agency, Clearview Building Services, LLC, face allegations of gross negligence, invasion of privacy, and obstruction of justice. The lawsuit seeks to hold the defendants accountable and prevent similar incidents in the future.
