A Florida woman is lucky to be unharmed after crashing her Porsche SUV through the third floor of a parking garage. Coral Gables Fire Rescue said that the woman inadvertently pressed the accelerator and slammed through the concrete wall, leaving her SUV dangling over the edge after getting caught in a tree.
The woman remained trapped in her vehicle for about 20 minutes while rescuers used ropes to reach her and pull her to safety. A crane was then used to remove the car. She was not injured in the crash but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
“Pretty sure that she was pretty shaken up, but looking at it from outside, she was fairly calm considering how dramatic this incident was,” Coral Gables Fire Rescue Division Chief Xavier Jones said.
Officials said that engineers were called to inspect the parking garage to ensure there was no structural damage caused by the accident.
Miami Fire Rescue and Coral Gables Fire Department shared a video of the dramatic rescue on Instagram.
