Woman Dies On International Flight From Paris To Boston

A woman from Topeka, Kansas, died on an Air France flight from Paris to Boston on Tuesday (January 14). The Massachusetts State Police identified the woman as 53-year-old Barbara Dipolia and said that she was a member of the Kansas Air National Guard.

The incident occurred on flight AF334 from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Boston Logan International Airport. According to NBC News, Dipoli experienced a medical emergency during the flight. Despite efforts from a doctor on board and the flight crew, she could not be saved. Air France confirmed the incident, stating that their crew members are trained to handle such situations. Emergency responders met the plane upon its arrival at Boston Logan International Airport.

The Massachusetts State Police described the death as “unattended” and are investigating the circumstances surrounding it. They are awaiting the official cause and manner of death from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

USA Today reported that Dipoli suffered a heart attack during the flight.

Air France expressed its condolences to Dipoli’s family and loved ones.
