White House Looking Into Early Release Of Man Who Murdered Six-Year-Old Boy

The White House is investigating the early release of Ronald Exantus, who was convicted of killing six-year-old Logan Tipton during a home invasion in Kentucky. Exantus, 42, was released from prison last Wednesday (October 1) after serving just eight years of a 20-year sentence. His release has sparked outrage among the public and the victim’s family.

Exantus was sentenced in 2018 after being found not guilty by reason of insanity for Logan’s death but guilty but mentally ill for assaulting Logan’s father and sisters. Despite the Kentucky Parole Board’s decision to keep him in prison, state law required his release under Mandatory Reentry Supervision. Exantus will remain under supervision until June 2026.

Logan’s father, Dean Tipton, expressed his anger over the release, stating, “If I ever cross paths with him, I will kill the man.” Logan’s mother, Heather Tipton, shared her frustration, saying, “It’s infuriating that a six-year-old was killed sleeping in his bed, and someone literally only did ten years in prison.”

The White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, confirmed the review, stating, “It’s wholly unacceptable for a child killer to walk free after just several years in prison.”

The Tipton family is advocating for “Logan’s Law” to prevent similar releases in the future.
