A video shared online shows a driver run over the leg of a “No Kings” protester after she was blocking their vehicle during a hit-and-run incident in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday (June 14).
The woman appeared to initially be nudged as she stood in front of the vehicle, which then plowed through, running over her leg in a video captured on the Citizen App, according to KTLA. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the woman was hospitalized “in fair condition” due to “an isolated lower extremity injury,” however, “no other patients” were reported in a news release shared by the department.
Footage on the Citizen App also showed a police helicopter searching the scene of the incident, presumably for the driver who fled the area after failing to stop, identify themselves and provide aid to the woman struck by the vehicle.
