Verizon to Transform SoFi Stadium and Other Venues for Super Bowl FanFest

INGLEWOOD (CNS) – SoFi Stadium will be one of several venues across the nation that will transform as part of Verizon’s first-of-its-kind FanFest in celebration of the 59th Super Bowl, officials announced Friday.

FanFests across the country will take place on Feb. 9 beginning at 1 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Verizon customers will be able to bring a select number of guests with them and enjoy meet and greets with athletes, food and beverages from locally owned small businesses, live music performances, games and unique football experiences.

Verizon customers can get more information about Super Bowl FanFest, a full list of events and locations, and access to free tickets on a first- come, first-served basis by visiting VerizonFanFest.com.

“Super Bowl LIX is the most anticipated sporting event of the year, but few get to experience it in person; we wanted to bring that collective excitement and energy to fans across the country with once-in-a-lifetime access they’ll never forget,” Verizon’s Chief Marketing Officer Leslie Berland said in a statement.

“Verizon is the only brand that can do something like this; we’re leveraging the power of our sponsorships, national and local partnerships across the country to put our customers at the center of this incredible event,” Berland added.

Fans at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood will be able to take selfies from the 50-yard line, spike a ball in the end zone, take a tour of the locker rooms, enjoy tailgate games and participate in football themed activities on the field. Venues such as the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Nissan Stadium in Tennessee, and Empower Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado, among others, will have similar events.

Local Hall-of-Famers and player meet-and-greets will be scheduled as well. Fans can get up close and personal with athletes. At SoFi Stadium, former Rams star Marshall Faulk will be available.

The FanFest will be stacked with entertainment from team cheerleaders, local artists and live bands such as the Rams Mariachi band, Rams cheerleaders and mascot, Rampage. DJ Infared will entertain fans throughout the day.

Football fans are set to travel to the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans for the 59th Super Bowl next month. Grammy-winner Kendrick Lamar, a native of Compton in South Los Angeles, will perform for the halftime show.
