US Marshals Find Dangerous Fugitive Hiding Under Child’s Bed

U.S. Marshals arrested fugitive Keantray Davon Bryant-Muellner in Spokane, Washington, last Friday (January 16) after discovering him hiding under a child’s bed. Bryant-Muellner was wanted for violating probation related to a 2024 arrest involving firearm and assault charges.

The U.S. Marshals Service, along with the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, the FBI, the Spokane Police Department, and the Washington State Department of Corrections, conducted the operation. Authorities surrounded a residence near the 3000 block of South Regal Street, where they made multiple announcements before entering by removing a glass sliding door. Two uninvolved adults exited the home as officers searched for Bryant-Muellner.

Bryant-Muellner was found hiding under a child’s bed and surrendered without incident. During a subsequent probation search, officers recovered a handgun and high-capacity magazines, though it is unclear if these belonged to Bryant-Muellner.

U.S. Marshal Craig Thayer emphasized the importance of the arrest, stating, “With gun violence continuing to plague Spokane, every violent offender arrested and every firearm taken off the street makes our communities safer.” The arrest reflects the strong collaboration among local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies.

The U.S. Marshals Service encourages anyone with information on their cases to contact their nearest office or use their online tips service.
