Two Females Killed During Street Takeover in Compton

COMPTON (CNS) – Two females were killed during a street takeover in Compton, authorities said Monday.

The deaths occurred at about 11:40 p.m. Sunday at Wilmington Avenue and Stockton Street, said Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The victims were described as pedestrians, Koerner said. It was not yet known whether they were spectators or thrown from speeding vehicles.

The ages of the victims were not available, he said.

The sheriff’s Traffic Services Detail was investigating at the scene, Koerner said.

A witness told a news videographer at the scene that one of the females was ejected from a moving vehicle.
