Two Arrested For Providing Drug Delivery Service To Teens

Two suspects have been arrested in Ventura County for allegedly running a drug delivery service targeting students. Edgar Nabte, 18, of Camarillo, and a male juvenile whose identity remains confidential, were apprehended by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation began in April when detectives discovered a service selling marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, and nicotine vape devices to minors throughout the county.

According to KTLA, the suspects used social media and messaging platforms to sell drugs. The operation was uncovered after a young customer was hospitalized due to consuming psilocybin mushrooms from the service.

Authorities executed search warrants on May 21 in Camarillo and Thousand Oaks, leading to Nabte’s arrest. The juvenile suspect was arrested two days later in Thousand Oaks. During the searches, deputies seized 47 marijuana vape devices, 62 nicotine vape devices, 18 containers of pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, and a large amount of loose marijuana. They also confiscated over $5,000 in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

Nabte faces charges of selling a controlled substance to a minor, possession for sale, and conspiracy, with bail set at $50,000. The juvenile faces similar charges, along with driving without a license. The case is part of the VC FOCUS task force’s efforts to combat drug-related crimes and educate the community about the dangers of drug abuse.
