President Donald Trump is reported to have a 47.3% approval rating and a 52.4% disapproval rating, according to AtlasIntel, which has deemed as the “most accurate pollster” during the past two presidential elections.
Trump’s approval rating decreased by 3% in February, its first decline since he took office in January, while his disapproval rating increased by 2.7%. A reported 0.3% said they “don’t know” how to view his job thus far, which was a 0.2% increase from the previous month.
Trump’s image, however, didn’t register a decline as both he and Vice President J.D. Vance were viewed as 51% positive when AtlasIntel asked respondents about their personal image.
Three of Trump’s key cabinet members, however, were viewed less favorably with Secretary of State Marco Rubio receiving 46% positive, 49% negative and 5% undecided responses; Department of Government Efficiency leader Elon Musk receiving 45% positive and 2% undecided responses; and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receiving 43% positive, 54% negative and 4% undecided responses.
Trump also received majority support in his decision to start negotiations with Russia for ending the Ukraine war with 63% of respondents supporting, 32% opposing and 6% undecided.The president did, however, see majority opposition in demanding compensation from Ukraine for the war assistance provided so far (51%), excluding a pathway for Ukraine to join NATO (55%), excluding the European Union and NATO allies from war negotiations with Russia (61%) and excluding the Ukrainian government from war negotiations with Russia (66%).
The AtlastIntel poll surveyed 2,550 respondents nationwide between March 7 and March 12 and is reported to have a margin of error of plus of minus two percentage points. The pollster was the most accurate in the 2024 election both at the national level and within key battleground states with a 0.3 poll error.
