Trump Unveils ‘Board Of Peace’

President Donald Trump unveiled his international ‘Board of Peace’ and publicly claimed that Israel’s war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip was mostly over during a ceremony at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday (January 22).

“They’re down to little fires,” Trump said of the situation in the Palestinian enclave, which has been ongoing for more than two years, via the New York Post. “We can put them out very easily.”

Trump, 79, was the first to sign the charger inaugurating the global board rivaling the United Nations during the ceremony in Davos and was joined by leaders of 20 other countries — Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Mongolia, Morocco, Pakistan, Paraguay, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan — on stage.

“We have peace in the Middle East, no one thought that was possible,” Trump said while delivering brief comments. “Today the world is a safer, richer and much more peaceful place than it was one year ago.”

The president also claimed that the newly launched board would “work with many others, including the United Nations,” despite having publicly been critical of the organization, claiming it’s strayed from its initial mission of resolving conflicts international and promoting global peace and security.

“I think we can spread out to other things as as we succeed with Gaza, we’re going to be very successful in Gaza,” Trump said.

“We can do numerous other things. Once this board is completely formed, we can do pretty much whatever we want to do,” he added.
