Trump Threatens To Sue Trevor Noah

President Donald Trump threatened to sue Trevor Noah after the comedian joked that about him wanting to purchase Greenland because the island owned by late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was gone while hosting the 2026 Grammy Awards Sunday (February 1) night.

“The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account early Monday (February 2) morning. “The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards. Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media. Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you! President DJT.”

Noah congratulated Billie Eilish after she won the award for ‘Song of the Year’ before joking at Trump’s expense.

“Song of the Year — that is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton,” Noah said.

Trump’s threat of a lawsuit against Noah came hours after he threatened to sue author Michael Wolff, as well as Epstein’s estate, and claimed the latest tranche of documents related to Epstein absolves him, while speaking to reporters on Air Force One Saturday (January 31) night.

“I didn’t see it myself but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left,” Trump said during his flight on Air Force One via the New York Post.

The president accused Wolff, who wrote an unauthorized biography on him, of “conspiring” with Epstein in an effort to derail his political career.

“We’ll probably sue Wolff on it. And maybe the Epstein estate I guess, I don’t know, but we’re certainly gonna sue him,” Trump said, before reiterating that Epstein “was conspiring with Wolff to do harm to me politically” and added “that’s not a friend.”

Wolff has been featured in many of the documents released in connection with the Epstein case since November, appearing to have served as an unofficial adviser and publicist prior to the 2016 presidential election. The author suggested that Epstein could be the “bullet” to end Trump’s campaign in February 2016, according to the documents.

Wolff had previously sued First Lady Melania Trump, claiming she had previously threatened to sue him for $1 billion if he didn’t retract his recent statements about her related to Epstein, in October 2025. Previously released Epstein documents confirmed that President Trump flew on the late convicted pedophile’s private jet at least eight times during the mid-1990s.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche denied that the Department of Justice protected Trump from his name appearing in the newly released files.

“We comply with the act, and there is no ‘protect President Trump.’ We didn’t protect or not protect anybody,” Blanche said via ABC News. “I mean, I think that there’s a hunger or a thirst for information that I do not think will be satisfied by the review of these documents. And there’s nothing I can do about that.”
