President Donald Trump claimed that “zero illegal aliens” have entered the United States in the past six months while speaking to reporters during a Cabinet meeting at the White House on Tuesday (December 2).
“For six months in a row, ZERO illegal aliens have been admitted into the United States… Illegal border crossings along the U.S.-Mexico border have plummeted to the lowest level ever recorded — EVER recorded,” Trump said.
A total 65,135 individuals are reported to be held at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention centers as of November 16, 2025, which was a significant rise from the 39,000 in custody when Trump took office in January, according to TRACReports.org. Trump’s claim followed Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem‘s X post in which she said she recommended a “full travel ban on every damn country that’s been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies” during a meeting with the president on Monday (December 1).
“I just met with the President. I am recommending a full travel ban on every damn country that’s been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies. Our forefathers built this nation on blood, sweat, and the unyielding love of freedom—not for foreign invaders to slaughter our heroes, suck dry our hard-earned tax dollars, or snatch the benefits owed to AMERICANS. WE DON’T WANT THEM. NOT ONE,” Noem wrote.
Trump, who made illegal immigration a key talking point during his successful re-election campaign, declared a national emergency at the southern border during his first day in office on January 20. The TRACReports.org data does, however, show that 73.6% of current detainees have no criminal convictions.
