Tron: Ares Goes AI, Roofman Gets Sticky, and J Lo is Back!

It’s a wild week in entertainment, friends — the kind where you might need popcorn and a neural link!

Disney’s Tron: Ares is the third chapter in the iconic sci-fi saga starring Jared Leto as a sleek AI program who escapes the digital grid and enters our messy human world. Early reactions call it a visual knockout, especially on IMAX, with a pulsing Nine Inch Nails soundtrack that could probably reboot your soul. (Gen X-ers will get it!) Longtime fans will be thrilled to see Jeff Bridges back as Kevin Flynn, the digital sage who started it all.

But that’s not the only story lighting up screens this weekend. True-crime meets a little slapstick in Roofman, a quirky caper inspired by the real-life burglar who pulled off fast heists by sneaking in through the roof. It’s part comedy, part cautionary tale, and 100% stranger than fiction.

Rounding out the weekend, Kiss of the Spider Woman slinks back into the cultural spotlight. Whether you remember the Oscar-winning 1985 film or the dazzling Broadway musical, this new adaptation promises a fresh, fearless take on love, identity, and rebellion. It stars Jennifer Lopez and Diego Luna.

Plus, Heather went to a rave to fully immerse herself in the Tron: Ares world and only needed her orthopedic shoes and some Advil to keep the party going. Catch all the laughs, reviews, and pop-culture deep dives on Entertain Me with Heather Brooker, part of The Gary and Shannon Show every week on KFI AM 640 and wherever you get your podcasts.
