Only nine illegal migrants were reported to have been released into the United States during the first 100 days of President Donald Trump‘s second term in office, border czar Tom Homan claimed during an appearance on FOX and Friends Tuesday (April 29) morning.
The reported total is a 99.99% decrease from the 184,000 who entered the country during the same period of time under President Joe Biden‘s administration last year.
“President Trump is a game changer,” Homan said. “What’s happening on the border, he did in seven weeks what Joe Biden couldn’t — or wouldn’t — do in four years.”
Four of the nine immigrants were reported to be material witnesses in criminal investigations, while another four were in “extreme medical distress” and another was released on humanitarian goods, according to Homan. An estimated total of about 139,000 people have been deported during the second Trump administration, according to officials.
Last week, the New York Post reported that more than 200 known or suspected terrorists have been arrested in mass deportation raids carried out by President Donald Trump‘s administration since his inauguration in January. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers have reportedly arrested 219 known or alleged terrorists, which is a 655% increase from the same period in 2024 when 29 arrests were made under former President Joe Biden‘s administration, according to new Homeland Security data obtained by the newspaper last Tuesday (April 22).
