Three-Time Super Bowl Champion Arrested For Shoving 82-Year-Old

Three-time Super Bowl champion fullback Patrick Pass was arrested for allegedly shoving an 82-year-old man at a gym in Rhode Island.

Pass, 46, was charged with assaulting a man over 60 years of age causing bodily injury (felony) and disorderly conduct (misdemeanor) on Wednesday (September 18), according to court records reviewed by the New York Post. The incident took place at a Planet Fitness gym in North Providence late last month and stemmed from an argument between the suspect and the victim over exercise equipment. The 82-year-old was reported to have fallen to the floor and sustained lower back injuries, police confirmed via WCVB.

Pass was given $10,000 personal recognizance and prohibited from having contact with the victim, according to court records. The fullback was a member of the New England Patriots‘ first three Super Bowl teams, having been selected at No. 239 overall in the seventh-round of the 2000 NFL Draft, one round after the franchise picked quarterback Tom Brady at No. 199 overall.

Pass recorded 526 yards and three touchdowns on 128 rushing attempts, as well as 66 receptions for 570 yards and one touchdown, during his eight NFL seasons, which included seven in New England and one with the New York Giants in 2007, though only appearing in one game for the team that spoiled the Patriots’ undefeated season in Super Bowl XLII.
