Three Houses Damaged By Fire in Pasadena, One Dog Found Dead

PASADENA (CNS) – Three homes were damaged by a fire in Pasadena Saturday, where a dog was found dead and a utility crew was working to de-energize live wires, authorities said.

The fire was reported at about 1:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of East Bell Street between Mentor and Catalina avenues, according to the Pasadena Fire Department. The area is a few blocks north of Interstate 210.

No injuries were reported, but a dog was found deceased at the scene and the Pasadena Humane Society was notified, according to authorities from the city of Pasadena.

The public was asked to avoid the area.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
