LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Three people were arrested in connection with a home invasion homicide in Woodland Hills, authorities announced Sunday.
The killing was reported about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 22200 block of De La Osa Street near Topanga Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Arriving officers located the victim, 47-year-old Aleksandre Modebadze, suffering from a head injury and paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives determined three suspects entered Modebadze’s residence, held him captive and assaulted him, then fled with some undisclosed property.
Taskforce officers with the assistance of the FBI located and arrested three suspects hours after the incident, according to the LAPD.
One suspect was taken into custody in the area of Sepulveda and Burbank boulevards in Sherman Oaks, the other two in the 400 block of Burchett Street, in Glendale.
The suspects were arrested and booked on suspicion of murder, with bail set at $2 million each. They were identified as 38-year-old Paata Kochyashvili, 46-year-old Zaza Otarashvili and 52-year-old Besiki Khutsishvili.
