Third Pentagon Appointee Placed On Administrative Leave

Colin Carroll, chief of staff to Deputy Secretary of Defense Steve Feinberg, has been placed on administrative leave amid an ongoing investigation, according to two defense sources. Carroll is the third Pentagon official to be placed on leave this week, following senior adviser Dan Caldwell and deputy chief of staff Darin Selnick.

“We can confirm that Mr. Carroll has been placed on administrative leave pending investigation. We have nothing additional to provide at this time,” a defense official told Fox News.

The investigation is reportedly linked to potential leaks of sensitive information, including military operational plans and discussions involving high-profile figures like Elon Musk.

Carroll was escorted out of the Pentagon, with sources suggesting the suspensions are related to disagreements with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s chief of staff, Joe Kasper.

Meanwhile, Politico adds that Carroll, a Marine Corps Reserve officer, previously worked at Anduril, a defense contractor, and was fired by the Biden administration for creating a hostile work environment.

The Pentagon has not yet commented on the situation.
