The much-anticipated Tesla Diner has officially opened its doors in Los Angeles, blending retro Americana with futuristic technology. Located on Santa Monica Boulevard, the diner features a unique combination of amenities, including Optimus robot servers, movie screens, and Tesla Superchargers. The diner, which resembles a 1950s-style eatery, also offers classic comfort food such as burgers, hot dogs, wings, and hand-spun milkshakes, all served in Cybertruck-style boxes.
The Tesla Diner was first announced in 2018 by Elon Musk, who envisioned a drive-in restaurant with roller skates and rock music. After construction began in late 2023, the project was completed in record time. As reported by Supercar Blondie, the diner includes movie screens reminiscent of old-school drive-ins, with audio that syncs with Tesla’s in-car sound systems.
On July 14, 2025, Elon Musk visited the diner and praised the team for creating “one of the coolest spots in LA.” The two-story building also features an outdoor space on the top level, making it a paradise for tech enthusiasts. NDTV reported that the diner includes 80 Superchargers, catering to Tesla owners who can order food directly from their car screens.
The Tesla Diner is not just a restaurant but a unique experience that combines dining, entertainment, and technology, setting a new standard for the future of dining.
