Student Stabbed Near Pico-Union High School; Suspect Sought

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – An 18-year-old student was stabbed today near West Adams Preparatory High School in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles.

The stabbing occurred during a fight with the suspect in the area West Washington Boulevard and South Vermont just after 3 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Los Angeles School Police Department officers found the victim suffering from at least one stab wound at the scene, and he was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

The stabbing suspect, who fled the scene before authorities arrived, was described only as a male, 15 to 16 years old.
