According to FOX Weather, the storms are fueled by a warm, Gulf-influenced air mass, which will produce heavy rain and damaging wind gusts. Thunderstorms could extend as far east as the Carolinas, with regions from North Carolina to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, also under a Level 2 threat.
The forecast suggests multiple rounds of rain will follow similar paths, raising concerns for flash flooding. Rainfall totals are expected to average 1 to 2 inches, with some areas potentially seeing over 3 inches.
Meteorologists warn that while most storms may remain below severe levels, isolated severe storms are possible. The weather pattern is expected to persist through Thursday, with residents advised to stay informed and prepared for potential weather disruptions.
