The Springs Fire, which ignited near Moreno Valley and Perris in Riverside County, has prompted multiple evacuation orders.
The fire was first reported around 11 a.m. on Friday near Gilman Springs Road and has since expanded to approximately 1,500 acres.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has issued evacuation orders for several areas as the fire continues to spread rapidly due to windy and dry conditions. Residents in the affected zones are urged to leave immediately, especially those who require extra time or have pets and livestock. According to Los Angeles Times, Gilman Springs Road is closed from Alessandro Road to Bridge Street.

An evacuation shelter has been set up at Valley View High School 13135 Nason St. Moreno Valley.
An animal shelter has been set up at San Jacinto Animal Shelter located at 581 S. Grand Ave. San Jacinto.
The National Weather Service has reported wind gusts reaching 20 to 30 mph, exacerbating the fire’s spread. Evacuation centers have been set up to assist displaced residents, and authorities are working to contain the blaze.
