LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Local and federal law enforcement authorities carried out a series of raids Wednesday in an apparent effort to crack down on organized crime and burglary rings.
No details were immediately released about the actions, or how many warrants may have been served.
Fox11 showed footage from a search being carried out at a home in Granada Hills, where authorities could be seen removing boxes from the residence.
Similar searches were believed to have been carried out in Ventura and Orange counties.
Federal and local authorities were scheduled to hold a late-morning news conference to discuss the operation.
Fox11 reported that the raids were targeting people providing logistical support to local burglary crews involved in organized crime rings.
