A tragic hit-and-run incident occurred early Thursday morning in Los Angeles’ Koreatown, leaving a 22-year-old skateboarder dead. The collision took place around 5:50 a.m. near the intersection of Mariposa Avenue and Sixth Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The vehicle, traveling north on Catalina Avenue, made a left turn onto Sixth Street, striking the victim.
Paramedics arrived promptly, but the young man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have yet to release the victim’s identity, and there is currently no description of the suspect vehicle available. The LAPD is actively seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver involved in the incident.
